The Alzheimer’s Association is a nonprofit organization that aims to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through research while also addressing the care, and support of those currently impacted. They strive to understand the causes, develop effective treatments, and ultimately find a cure for this devastating disease. The Association funds research grants, collaborates with institutions, and advocates for policy changes to advance research and improve care for those affected. As the largest nonprofit funder of Alzheimer's research, the Association is committed to accelerating the global progress of new treatments, preventions and, ultimately, a cure. The Alzheimer's Association funds independent researchers worldwide and currently has more than $360 million invested in over 1000 active projects.

Over 50 million people worldwide live with some type of dementia. Alzheimer's disease is the most common form of dementia, accounting for 60-70% of the cases. Due to the aging population and increased life expectancy, the number of people living with Alzheimer's and dementia is projected to rise substantially in the coming decades.

The JTMF Foundation recognizes the importance of supporting research around Alzheimer's. Through the Association’s Zenith Society, the JTMF Foundation made a two-year commitment, totaling one million dollars in support aimed at understanding the causes, progression, treatment, and potential cures for Alzheimer's and other dementia.
