Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation - Global Research

The Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation (ADDF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to accelerating the discovery and development of effective treatments for Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. The organization was founded in 1998 by co-chairmen Leonard A. Lauder and Ronald S. Lauder and is the only public charity solely focused on funding the development of drugs for Alzheimer's.

The ADDF funds innovative research projects focused on therapeutics, diagnostics, and prevention that have the potential to make a significant impact on the understanding and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease. They provide funding at all stages of the drug development process, from early-stage discovery to clinical trials.

One of the key strategies of the ADDF is to identify and support a wide array of promising drug targets and therapeutic approaches based on the biology of aging, providing multiple angles from which to attack the disease. They fund academic researchers, biotechnology companies, and other organizations that are working on developing novel drugs. In addition to financial support, the ADDF also provides scientific and business expertise to help researchers advance their projects.
