At Central Oregon Veterans Ranch, veterans find healing, purpose, and community through nature-based programs on a 19-acre ranch. Support for the new Director of Development allows COVR to expand its impact.

Central Oregon Veterans Ranch - Central Oregon
For more than a decade, Central Oregon Veterans Ranch (COVR) has provided a place of
healing, connection, and renewed purpose for veterans throughout Central Oregon. Situated on a 19-acre ranch in Bend, the organization has served hundreds of veterans since its founding in 2014 through agricultural therapy, peer support, and community-based programs designed to restore hope, resilience, and well-being.
COVR’s mission is both simple and profound: to promote healing and restore purpose for
veterans of all ages through nature-based programs and meaningful community connection.
Many of the veterans served by COVR face significant challenges, including PTSD, housing
insecurity, social isolation, and disabilities. For these individuals, the ranch offers far more than services—it provides a sense of belonging, dignity, and renewed direction.
As the organization entered a new phase of strategic growth and long-term sustainability, COVR sought support to fund a full-time Director of Development. This critical investment allows the organization to strengthen and professionalize its fundraising efforts, diversify revenue streams, and build a stronger operational foundation for the future.
Providing support that can provide sustainability to an organization is an important focus of the JTMF Foundation. Support from JTMF funds salary and benefits, onboarding, professional development, donor management tools, and operational support for the Development Director over a two-year period.
At its core, this initiative represents far more than the addition of a staff position. It is an
investment in the long-term capacity of COVR to ensure veterans across Central Oregon
continue to have access to healing, connection, and purpose for years to come.
