Easterseals Oregon (ESO) has been providing life-changing community and disability services to Oregonians for over 77 years. Founded in 1947, ESO opened a school in Eugene, OR, dedicated to serving children with disabilities. As national advocacy efforts expanded and public education systems evolved, children with disabilities became more integrated into mainstream schools, prompting ESO to shift its services to meet the changing needs of the community. Today, ESO offers comprehensive support to veterans, children and adults with disabilities, older adults, and underserved populations.

ESO has been serving veterans since 2011, offering individualized case management services that connect veterans to employment, stable housing, and wrap-around support. With the growth of these vital programs, ESO’s realized the need to modernize its systems and technology infrastructure through the implementation of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Electronic Case File systems. Outdated and decentralized data management systems were creating significant barriers to effective service delivery and operational efficiency. The veterans' programs were relying on paper case files, limiting their ability to serve veterans effectively.

By implementing a CRM system, service delivery improved, ensuring veterans receive timely, high-quality support. In addition, ESO significantly reduced administrative burdens, allowing staff to focus more on direct client support, leading to quicker employment placements, faster housing transitions, and enhanced wrap-around services for veterans and other programs. Ultimately, the enhanced system empowers case managers to focus on what matters most: supporting those in need.

The JTMF Foundation recognizes the critical role that technology plays in improving efficiency and impact, and is proud to support the Easterseals Oregon’s mission of creating opportunities and fostering independence for those they serve.
