Tater Tots Pediatric Therapy’s Growth and Expansion
Grant Date:
June 2025
Grant Value:
$15,500

Tater Tots Pediatric Therapy is a non-profit therapy clinic in Klamath Falls that was
founded in 2021 by a husband-and-wife team from the Klamath Falls area. One is a speech-
language pathologist, the other is a physical therapist. Together they had a goal to bring
pediatric therapy services to children and families in Klamath County that desperately need
those services. Being in such a rural part of the state meant that families often had to travel to
Medford, Bend, Eugene, or even Portland just to get therapy services for their children. Along
with the core therapy services that they provide, the primary goal of the organization is to use
their therapists’ expertise in the area of child development to provide programs for all children
and families.

The mission at Tater Tots Pediatric Therapy is to provide high-quality, family-centered
therapy services to the underserved children and families of Klamath County, Oregon and the
surrounding rural communities, as well as serve as a community resource that can provide
preventative services, educational opportunities, and community events for families. Their core
values as an organization are community, respect, dedication, integrity and equity. Tater Tots Pediatric Therapy serves children aged birth to 18 who have disabilities, and their families. The population they serve is only growing, as census data has revealed the percentage of children with a disability in the United States increased from 3.9% in 2009 to 4.3% in 2019.

The primary objective of the grant is to expand access to pediatric therapy services
in the community to meet the growing need for those services. This project will allow Tater Tots
to hire 2 new therapists who will be able to offer about 86 more appointment slots for families
each week. This increased capacity will allow them to whittle down their waitlist and
immediately get new patients in for the services that they need.
The JTMF Foundation is proud to support their mission through funding for additional
staffing in their efforts to expand services.
