Family and Community Together - Portland, OR

Family and Community Together (FACT) Oregon is dedicated to empowering families, youth, and communities to successfully navigate disability systems while advancing disability justice and meaningful policy change. As Oregon’s designated Parent Training and Information Center since 2012, FACT Oregon provides free, peer-delivered services statewide, including personalized support through a support line, comprehensive training, culturally responsive resources, and direct community outreach. Their work centers on ensuring that individuals with disabilities can thrive at home, in school, and within their communities while exercising self-determination.

To strengthen its growing impact, FACT Oregon was seeking funding to establish a full-time Program Manager/Supervisor position. This new role will oversee support services and training/outreach teams, coordinate incoming requests, and ensure consistent, high quality service delivery across multiple initiatives and contracts. By improving internal communication and workflow, this position will allow leadership to focus on long-term sustainability, strategic planning, and partnership development.

The anticipated impact is significant. The new role will improve response times and service quality, increase consistency of information shared with families and professionals, and expand FACT Oregon’s ability to support new initiatives such as the IEP Peer Mentor program and collaborative efforts with Washington’s Parent Training and Information Center.

FACT Oregon expects to directly serve approximately 2,800 individuals annually, including parents, caregivers, youth with disabilities, and professionals in education and social services.

The JTMF Foundation is proud to partner with FACT Oregon with this two-year grant to support the creation of a full-time Program Manager position, which will strengthen internal coordination, expand training and outreach, and ensure families and youth with disabilities receive timely, high-quality support across the state.
